Slow Progress

Nothing going on as usual, the engine are now taken out from the bay, and its being sitting empty in the garage for quite a while. Seems like they are pretty busy at the moment and attention are given to other cars in the garage due to shortage of man power and too many cars.

Waiting for the spray painter to give it a nice coat of fresh paint.

Some of the rides in the garage.

Another modern cool classic ride, a CRX using a B20B engine. Should be damn freaking fast.

Engine Out

Went to check on my ride and notice that there are some work done on it. The engine is off the bay and on the ground, and all the ancillaries are also out, cept for the brake booster and master cylinder still hanging on. Now I need to choose a color to enhance the bay and to give it a more striking look and make sure that the 4AGE looks nice in it. Seems like the progress is good and I'll be having back my ride sooner than I expected. No photos cause I din bring any camera, just to pop by and check out the progress.

Progress Status

Went to check out my car, yesterday and found out that the mechanic has already started stripping the car and all the dashboard and interior stuff are taken out of the car. Wiring and panels are taken out as well as ducts and ecu.

The technician taking out the lights and panels.

The TE dash look simple and spartan.

Interior is bare to a minimum.

Hopefully everything will be properly and nicely executed.

Point of View

I'll just have to look at these to whet my appetite for my performance over dose.

Any ideas of the meaning?

The Start of My Never Ending Journey of Modding

Finally after a long wait, I'm able to start my 71 project. Actually, after getting this car, really found out that I've got a lot of work to do on this car compare to my previous car, so means that I've no option but to jump into the bandwagon and do a proper rebuild and not to cut corners so that I'll be able to enjoy the car without much problem after this. My intention was to source for a front cut from a beloved hachiroku and transplant whatever inside the front cut into my car so that all the wiring and electrical stuff will have no glitches and able to perform flawlessly. Since the 16V is much easier to put into the E7 engine bay and driveablity and torque doesn't sucks like the 20V, I've made up my mind to source for the Hachi since most of the parts can be transfer to the E7 chassis.
I've been searching high and low for a few months and with many being to pricey for a stock standard unit or doesn't really fill the criteria I'm looking for until one day I received a call from my mechanic telling me that he found out one front cut hachi with a lot of modded parts with a reasonable price. So I went there and found these:-

After a close scrutinizing of all the performance stuff that comes with this cut, without much hesitation I paid a deposit to take this home. My only concern will be the condition of the engine cause mostly modded engine in Japan r living a tough life being torture by their ex-owner relentlessly. Nevertheless I kept my finger cross that everything will be fine.

Wipers are worn, battery and tyres are flat, cob webs are literally building up. Signs of car not moving for a long time. The time has come for me to move this car of mine from its nest to my trusty mechanic. Anyway with a few cranks I'm able to start this little dragon and move it to my mech's workshop for the long awaited botox treatment it has been lagging off.

Will be stuck here for a couple of months ???

Till then.......

#E7# in 2010 Bangsean Auto Fest

An arrays of yellow JDM classics, mostly consist of #E7# corollas.

A replica of the Group 5 touring car. Loves the angular shape.

Is this a scene from japan, no its actually from Thailand. Its really impressive what the Thais do to their Old Japs.

One of my favorite Levin 71, which I hope I'm able to turn my car into.

Lovely striking color in a 2-door sedan.

Another one with a nice pair of fender mirrors, Seems like rare old parts are easy to find in Thai, or are we in Japan.

Nice equipps and lovely manifolds adorn this immaculate machine.

V8 in a 70 is just insane. Wonder hows the power like.

Notice the huge turbine, guess is set up for drag or just for show?

Ultra wide arches with deep offset wattanabes is a deadly combination.
