The PL510

The P510/PL510 Datsun is a very nice classic car with its own rich racing heritage which I admire a lot. Together with the 70's classic lines and quad headlamps it seems to grow on you every time you look at it. Together with the endless types of nissan engine conversion, you will be able to built monster at ease that are able to take on much modern sport cars easily. I chance upon this Japanese site which contains lots of information and pictures of 510's in it's natural glory.
Sorry its in japanese language only but you can drool at their photos gallery which contains endless supplies of immaculate condition 510. This classic ride will definitely be in my wishful list.

The Nissan P510/PL510 was sold from 68-73 in many variants throughout the world.
The 510's engineering was inspired by contemporary European sedans, particularly the 1966 BMW 1600 incorporating an SOHC engine, Macpherson Strut suspension in front and independent, semi-trailing arms in back. The European-influenced sheet metal design is attributed to a young Datsun in-house designer, Teruo Uchino. The engine was pushed through by Nissan USA president Yutaka Katayama, a design developed through Prince, an acquisition, with some Mercedes Benz influence.

The Datsun 510 released to the U.S. market came originally with the Hitachi downdraft carbureted 1.6 L L-series engine, with an advertised gross power of 96 hp (72 kW), front disc brakes, 4-wheel independent suspension (MacPherson strut front and semi trailing arm rear- wagons had a solid rear live axle and leaf springs in back), rear wheel drive, and either a 4-speed manual or a 3-speed automatic transmission. 2-door sedan, 4-door sedan, and 4-door station wagon variants were available. It achieved 20-30 mpg in factory trim (U.S.). Non-US spec models were also available in a 2-door coupe body style with the "SSS" packages, which included a 1.6 or an uprated 1.8 L L-Series engine and dual Hitachi sidedraft carburetors, which were a copy of the earlier British Skinner's Union (SU) design used on Jaguars and MGs. SSS models also had numerous other small changes like sports instrument cluster, tinted windows, different interior trim and of course 'SSS' emblems on the rear qtr vents and grille.

863 Drifters

I've got something to share with carina owners, I've bought these Option Video a while ago and found that there have a team called "863" drifting together in grass root level. "863" literally means AE86 and AA63 which forms the club and consists of hachirokus and Roku-Sans. Seems like one of the guys manage to get into best 4 which is quite and achievement considering the under-power of the NAs...

240ZG

This must be one of the best modified 240ZG I've come across in the net, thanks to speedhunters , the fender arches is so massive together with the deep dish offset wattanabes complement so well with this long nose.

Its like a wet dream come true for us olskoolers. Wonder what's under the hood though. Together with the stealthy black paint it look so well presented. If I'm driving one of these on our roads guess all the people will ogle at this fantastic machine.

The red S30 is the normal variant which is not so aggressive in its appearance but nevertheless its still a sight to see this two machine side by side.

The front view of the classics. Just if Midnight Wangan look like this, bet it will be wonderful in anime form.

Rocky Auto

After a lapse and plain laziness in contributing to my blog, I've decided to add some post in my slow running blog. While browsing through the net I've found some interesting pictures of classic old nostalgic rides from this garage called Rocky Auto. Here are some interesting pics of the rides.

This is the front shop of Rocky Auto. They specialized in classic Japanese cars and are more focus towards fairladys san-maru and hakosuka GTR.

Two S30 under the sun.

How I wish this type of cars in my garage....Notice the long nose fairlady, niceness...
