Rear Lamp For My JDM Carina AA63
Finally the rear lamp for my JDM carina have arrived from japan. Got it from yahoo Bid Japan and its quite costly due to the air freight charges, but its all worth it due to the fact that I can't source it locally and its also not easy to find it in japan.
The Rear Lamps fresh from japan, still in its bubble wrap
Another view of the lamp
Both the JDM rear lamps
Actually these lamps are for spares just in case I bust my old lamps and these are facelifted lamps which is slightly different from my old rear lamps and I term it as the "red line".

Carina Owner Meet Up
One boring afternoon at work, received a call from hanif, the owner of this immaculate condition 4 door carina. He wanted to meet up for a quick tt(drink) session cause he came up from malacca due to work commitments. I met him up when I was drifting in Star Drift in Malacca a couple of months ago, so we exchanged ideas and places to get parts for this rare machine, due to the fact that our country doesn't sell this model when it was launch in Japan. So we were discussing about the possiblity of grouping up all the owners of these cars to strengthen the network and getting parts.
The back view of the carina, notice the rear lamps, its not from the carina.
Actually he got this car from a second hand car dealer from Malacca in 1989 and kept the car until now, so its a first hand car. The car was built in 1984 before being brought over to Malaysia as a reconditioned model.
The front view of the car with a corona jdm lip.
He transplanted a 4age 16v TVIS engine from the reowned AE86 front clip and customise the header till the rear muffler with a 2" piping. Basically the engine is left untouched for street drivability.
Basically he uses this car for long journey, whenever for going outstation trip causes its more stable and relax to cruise in a rwd. The car was just painted ferrari red when I took these photos.
This car was originally an AA60 which means that it has got an underpowered 1.5liter 3-AC engine from a lower spec model, so to get more power and ease of getting spare parts the owner opted to transplant a better power 4age 16v into the engine bay.
p/s: The 17" fwd rims will be replace in a later stage.
