Maiden Trip to Genting with The TE71 Corolla Coupe

Last week on the 28th of July, decided to try out the Genting hill with the Corolla Coupe, since I've acquired the car for a couple of months but doesn't have time to try out the ability of these machine. So I set out to conquer the Akina hill, Ooppss I mean Genting hill to much Initial-D anime and see if the car are able to handle the twist and turns that the hill have to offer.

on top of the Genting Theme Park, clear & cool surrounding

Took the Genting Sempah route up first, was pitch black on the way up without any street lights, so was taking it really easy on the corners cause really can't see a thing in the dark. The head lights does not help much either due to the diffrent types of wheels that I install to my car the rear wheels are litterally bigger than the front (15" vs 13") causing the beam of lights from the head light to light up the road just a few metres in front. So was taking it easy and not to overshoot the corners and end up in the ravine.

Side Shot at the Top, notice the front Hayashi street with the FF JRD wheels at the back

The second part of the climb from the foot hill up gohtong was much better due to the bigger roads and better lighting. The car seems to be below par and really sluggish, The suspension is dead and the tyres are really crappy, due to change. Its beginning to look like slicks, hehehe...

Front shot, notice the oil cooler hose hehehe

After Gohtong Jaya right up to the summit it was really wet, so I took it easy cause the tyres are really bad, was understeering and oversteering all the way, if I throttle to much, really need to work on the car badly. Managed to reach the top safely after all the hard albeit slow battle with the corners.

Scenery from the top just like mount Hakone... dreamin again. View of KL city.

Spend a couple of hours up there to sip the cool air before returning down to KL. The trip down was also cruising since the car was in need of attention before I can take it to the maximum limit.

On the way down was really foggy

Can't see much, have to take it easy
